Role Description
As a Fleet Associate / Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the safe delivery of furniture and appliances while providing professional in-home customer service. This is a physically active role involving driving, lifting, installation, and direct customer interaction.
The position is ideal for individuals who prefer hands-on work, enjoy driving, and want a stable career with growth potential rather than short-term gig delivery work.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and follow daily delivery routes and schedules
- Inspect vehicles and complete pre-trip safety checks
- Load, secure, and transport merchandise safely
- Deliver products into customers’ homes without damage
- Assemble furniture and appliances when required
- Provide professional, courteous in-home customer service
- Handle settlements and explain delivery documentation
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately and on time
- Record mileage, fuel usage, and delivery issues
- Reconcile invoices and merchandise during driver check-in
Job Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license (graduated licenses not accepted)
- Clean and current Driver’s Abstract
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs or more on a regular basis
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required
Preferred qualifications (not mandatory):
- Experience driving a 5-ton truck
- Previous delivery or logistics experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
