Role Description
The Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe transportation, loading, and unloading of rental equipment, tools, and sales materials to and from customer job sites. The role requires experience with construction equipment hauling, strong attention to safety regulations, and clear communication with internal teams and customers.
This is a hands-on role that combines driving, equipment handling, documentation, and occasional warehouse support.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate company vehicles and equipment in a professional manner
Load, secure, transport, and unload tools and rental equipment
Complete daily vehicle and equipment inspections and report issues
Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and communicate with the Order Desk
Ensure all loads are properly secured and comply with Provincial and Federal DOT regulations
Complete customer documentation clearly and accurately
Maintain cleanliness and safety of delivery vehicles
Report vehicle maintenance requirements to the Manager
Tow trailers and perform equipment loading and offloading
Assist with warehouse organization and equipment sorting when required
Represent Northstar Equipment Rentals professionally at customer sites
Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards

Job Requirements
Valid Class 3 driver’s license with air brakes and a clean driver abstract
Class 1 license considered an advantage
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Proven experience hauling construction or industrial equipment
Experience operating a tandem rollback deck truck strongly preferred
Experience driving a 5-ton drop deck truck considered an asset
Valid First Aid certification considered an asset
Forklift, MEWP, or Skidsteer certification or experience considered an asset
